Taxis in Dublin
According to the latest statistics, there are more taxis operating in Dublin than New York. In a city with over 500,000 inhabitants, the capital of Ireland has over 10,000 active taxi drivers.
The large number of taxis in Dublin is very useful for visitors and locals. However, taxi drivers are not at all happy since their income is reduced due to the competition.
Surprisingly, the taxi roof sign is the only way to identify taxis in Dublin. Each taxi driver has a different vehicle.
